Until next time - auf wiedersehen!

YamYam

Can't get a table at Monsieur Voung? I think that this Korean hole-in-the-wall just oposite Voung is a good substitute (my wife don't agree though). Adress: Alte Schönhauser Straße 6. http://www.yamyam-berlin.de/

Harry's New York Bar

Up for that Mad Men vibe? This is the ultimate place! Find it at the Grand Hotel Esplanade in Luetzowufer 15. http://www.esplanadeberlin.com/

Avoid this one!!!

Pizzeria I Due Forni is often hailed as the best pizza in town and I could've coped with the noise, the lack of oxygen and the ridiculous slow service if the pizza lived up to it's reputation - but it didn't

Fleischmöbel

Nice café and bar with a bohemian feel in a run down building. Vintage furniture, good looking people and neat drinks. Oderberger Straße 2. Sorry no home page.

ponybarberlin

Small bar in Alte Schönhauser strasse 44 serving Astra Bier, probably the best beer hompage in the world. http://www.pony-bar.de/

Café am Neuen See

Had a very romantic time with my wife in this café on a rainy night. Great pizza, great company and a great view of the lake and surrounding chestnut trees. Lichtensteinallee 2, by the park Tiergarten.

Bar am Lützowplatz

This is a bit off the beaten track and highly recommended - the taste of their Dry Martini still lingers in my mouth. Lützowplatz 7.  http://www.baramluetzowplatz.com/

Berliner Weiße

It's not a restaurant. It's not a bar. It's my wifes favourite drink when in Berlin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berliner_Weisse

Musikbar Yesterday

We fell through the doors at this strange joint seeking shelter from the rain. The weird interior alone makes it worth a visit in Schönhauser Allee 173. http://www.musikbaryesterday.de/
.

White Trash Fast Food

"Good people drink good beer." - Hunter S. Thompson (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas). Schönhauser Allee 6-7. http://www.whitetrashfastfood.com/

Meisterschueler Galerie & Bar

Berlin cocktail culture at it's height - the best White Russian I've ever had! Located just above Grill Royal in Friedrichstraße 105b. http://www.meisterschueler.net/

Würgeengel

Recommended by the same guy that sent us to Ankerklause. This Kreuzberg haunt in Dresdener Strasse 122 is all about recreating the vibe from Luis Buñuels 1962 masterpiece 'El angel exterminador'. http://www.wuergeengel.de/

Restaurant Schõnbrun

Superior East German 70's architecture not to be missed, with an idyllic location on Schwanenteich (Swan pond) in the park Volkspark Fredrichshain. http://www.schoenbrunn.net/

Prater Garten

A traditional german beer garden with it's origins dating back to 1837 - untouched by the WWII bombings. Make sure to enjoy a Weissbier in these historical surroundings in Kastanienalle 7-9. http://www.pratergarten.de/

Grill Royal

Meat lovers should check out this stylish establishment at Fredrichstrasse 105 B overlooking the river Spree. http://www.grillroyal.com/

Ankerklause

This dive bar was recommended by a friend, and what a great recommendation! A tiny shack with maritime interior directly above the water on the Landwehrkanal. Cheap drinks at Kottbusser Damm 104! http://www.ankerklause.de/

Greenwich

Supercool interior, excellent soundsystem, good music and great drinks. Try their Perfect Manhattan and feel like Don Draper in hyperspace! Find it at Gipsstrasse 5. http://www.greenwichbar.com/

Monsieur Vuong

People from earth, food from heaven!!! Where? Alte Schönhauser Strasse 46. http://www.monsieurvuong.de/

Der Imbiss W

Take a trip to Kastanienalle 49 to taste delicious naan pizzas and vegetarian wraps. Everything is prepared fresh! http://www.w-derimbiss.de/

Clãrchens Ballhaus

Clãrchens Ballhaus, situated in Auguststrasse 24, has been a legendary ballroom since 1913. Don't be put off by the stale smell of sweat while entering. This is an amazing place retaining it's original 1920's style. This is where old couples and young hipsters shake their rumps on a crowded dance floor. http://www.ballhaus.de/
